GIWEH- UN Human Rights Council

As part of its annual engagement, GIWEH held two side events within the 41st and 42nd sessions of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, addressing the human right to water and sanitation and its links to environment and health.

Through its UN-ECOSOC consultative status, GIWEH brings evidence from its field programmes into the Human Rights Council, advocating for practical measures to extend safe water and a healthy environment to underserved communities.
