Asia Water Council’s 3rd Board of Council Meeting in Andong-Si (Korea)

As an elected Board member of the Asia Water Council (AWC), our Director General, Dr. Nidal Salim and our Program Manager Ms. Marguerite Lançon as a Special Committee member, attended the 3 rd Board of Council Meeting in Andong-Si, Korea last week (Tuesday, October 18th 2016).

During the 3 rd Board of Council, the schematic plan of the 4th Board of Council meeting was also announced. The meeting will be held in March 2017 in Beijing, China and hosted by the Ministry of Water Resources of China (MWR), China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR) and AWC Secretariat.

Finally, the Board decided that the 1st Asia International Water Week (AIWW) would be held in Korea in 2017, and the preparation timeline was reported by the secretariat. The Asia International Water Week (AIWW) is envisioned as a triennial water gathering to share tangible implementation for solving Asian water problems. It will be organized by the AWC in collaboration with the host country.
