The launch
GIWEH launched the United Communities Academia Network at the Swiss Pavilion during the 8th World Water Forum in Brasilia on 20 March 2018, at a session on supporting the 2030 Agenda through community-based approaches.
The launch was addressed to regional representatives of more than 500 non-governmental organisations from Africa, Asia, Central Asia, Europe, the MENA region and South America. UCAN exists so that research reaches the communities it concerns.
