On Monday, June 20th, 2016, GIWEH hosted a group of Ukrainian students as part of its mission toward knowledge dissemination and capacity building. Dr. Nidal Salim presented GIWEH’s vision and activities, highlighting the Flagship Project, “Support the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, Goal 6.” Additionally, Ms. Jeanne Cottenceau presented a model of citizen involvement that aimed to promote environmental consciousness and sustainable development. From this, the group discussed possible areas of collaboration and potential methods to raise awareness around environmental management within civil society. This event intends to initiate further work between Ukraine and GIWEH.
