This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The data controller is GIWEH, an association under Swiss law, Rue de Chantepoulet 10, 1201 Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss UID CHE-115.661.978). You can reach us at info@giweh.ch.

What we collect

Contact form: name, organisation, email address, your role and your message.

Newsletter: name and email address, with your consent.

Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operation of the site.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to send you the newsletter you asked for, and to keep the website secure and working. We rely on your consent for the newsletter and on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence for the contact form.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and deliver our email (for example our hosting provider, Vercel Inc.), which may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA under appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We keep correspondence as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent at any time, and object to processing. Write to info@giweh.ch. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.
