Why blended finance

Many of the most needed water and climate projects are sound but perceived as too risky for private capital alone. The Blended Finance Facility uses public and philanthropic funds to absorb early risk and crowd in private investment, multiplying every grant dollar into far larger flows of sustainable finance.

GIWEH brings the technical credibility and the partner network to structure these deals across the MENA and Africa regions, connecting projects on the ground to the institutions that can fund them.
